• TEXAS-TCU SERIES: No. 14/13 Texas faces TCU for the 36th time in series history on Sunday, Feb. 1 in Fort Worth (12 p.m. Central, FOX Sports Southwest Plus). The Longhorns hold a 34-1 advantage in the all-time series. UT won the first 33 meeting of the series before losing to TCU for the first time last season in Fort Worth, 54-48.
• LONE STAR STATE SUCCESS: The Longhorns have emerged as the dominant college basketball program in the state of Texas in its 41 years of existence. The Horns have posted a 434-105 (.805) record against current NCAA Division I in-state foes in the program's history, including a 34-1 mark against TCU.
• ATKINS FINDING GROOVE: In UT's double-overtime win over Oklahoma on Thursday, freshman Ariel Atkins led the Longhorns in scoring for the first time with 21 points in 40 minutes. It marked Atkins' first double-figure scoring effort since missing eight games due to an ankle injury. The Duncanville, Texas native leads UT in free throw percentage (.872).
• LANG HEATING UP: In the last three games, sophomore center Kelsey Lang is averaging 11.3 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 71 percent from the field (15-21 FG). This season, Lang leads active Longhorns in scoring (10.6 ppg), rebounding (6.3 rpg) and field goal percentage (.556), while ranking second in minutes (26.9 mpg).
• McGEE-STAFFORD VALUING MINUTES: Junior center Imani McGee-Stafford is averaging 20.2 points, 15.0 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per 40 minutes in Big 12 play. In UT's double-overtime win over Oklahoma on Thursday, McGee-Stafford registered her first double-double of the season with season highs of 15 points, 11 rebounds and 29 minutes played. The Preseason All-Big 12 selection sat out the first eight games of the season after undergoing surgery to reinforce her left tibia in September.
• SANDERS STEPPING UP: Junior guard Brady Sanders leads the Longhorns in assists (2.6 apg) and is the active leading scorer during Big 12 play (8.6 ppg).
• WINS AND LOSSES: During UT's 15 wins this season, Texas has averaged 72.9 points on 45.1 percent shooting from the field (426-945 FG). UT is 14-0 when scoring 60 or more points. During UT's only four losses of the season, the Horns average 57.8 points on 33.3 percent shooting (82-246 FG).
• CLEANING THE BOARDS: Texas has out-rebounded 18 of 19 opponents this season. UT's +10.6 rebounding margin ranks 11th in the nation. The Horns are averaging 43.4 rebounds per game.
• DEEP BENCH: 11 Longhorns average more than 10 minutes per game. Texas' bench out-scores its counterpart by an average of 28-to-16. During Big 12 play, UT's bench accounts for 41 percent of the team's offensive production (200 bench points / 491 total points).
• SHOOTING DEFENSE: Texas has the 20th-ranked shooting percentage defense in the country. The Longhorns are holding opponents to 35.3 percent shooting. Only four opponents have shot 40 percent or better against the Longhorns.
• POINTS IN THE PAINT: Texas is out-scoring its opponents in the paint by an average of 36-to-20.
• VALUING THE BALL: The Longhorns maintain an improved +1.2 turnover margin this season after posting a -4.3 turnover margin in 64 games during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.
• WIDE MARGINS: Texas ranks 11th in the nation in rebounding margin (+10.6) and 26th in scoring margin (+13.1).
• QUICK STARTS: The Longhorns have led at halftime in 15 of 19 games and are holding opponents to an average of 23.9 first-half points. UT averages 35.3 points in the first half.
• HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: Texas holds an 12-1 record at home this season. The Horns are 26-3 at the Frank Erwin Center since last season.
• TEXAS SIGNEES NAMED TO McDONALD'S ALL-AMERICAN TEAM: It was announced on Wednesday that Texas signees Lashann Higgs (Round Rock, Texas) and Jordan Hosey (Pearland, Texas) will participate in the 2015 McDonald's All American Game on April 1 (ESPNU).
• ENEMKPALI OUT FOR THE SEASON: Senior forward Nneka Enemkpali suffered a season-ending injury on Jan. 19 at Baylor. At the time of her injury Enemkpali led the Big 12 in rebounding (10.6 rpg), double-doubles (9), and rebounding in conferece-only games (12.0 rpg). She was on pace to become the fifth Longhorn to record 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, finishing with 1,116 points (30th at UT) and 899 rebounds (9th at UT). This week, Enemkpali was named to the Wooden Award (national player of the year) Midseason Top 20 list and as one of 30 candidates considered for the Senior CLASS Award.
• WINNING STREAK: Texas started the season with a 13-0 record, its third-best start in program history.
• NON-CONFERENCE PERFECTION: Texas became the first Longhorn team since 1985-86 to finish its non-conference regular season schedule with an undefeated record (11-0).
• TOP 10 TOPPERS: The Longhorns are 3-1 against top-10 opponents, with wins at No. 6/1 Stanford (Nov. 20), against No. 4/5 Tennessee (Nov. 30), and against No. 4/5 Texas A&M.
