No. 9 Men’s Tennis opens spring season with UT Invitational

Dates: Jan. 9-11, 2015 (Friday-Sunday)
Ninth-ranked Texas Men's Tennis opens the spring season this weekend when it hosts the UT Invitational at the Weller Indoor Tennis Center, featuring student-athletes from Texas, Arkansas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Texas Tech.
The event will be formatted for round-robin individual competition, with singles and doubles champions being crowned at the conclusion of play on Sunday. Each day of the event begins at 9:30 a.m. with the start of doubles play, followed by singles.
Admission to the UT Invitational is free and open to the public.
Texas returns all but two student-athletes from last season's squad that finished as co-Big 12 Champions and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship.
