Women's Diving posts pair of top-eight finishes at UT Diving Invite

Freshman Sofia Rauzi leads the Horns with her sixth-place finish on three-meter.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas senior Meghan Houston and freshman Sofia Rauzi landed top-eight finishes in the women's three-meter finals Thursday evening on day one of the UT Diving Invite at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
Rauzi led the Horns with her sixth-place total of 321.55 points. The Round Rock native totaled a meet-best 60.75 points on her second dive, an inward, two-and-a-half somersault in the tuck position.
Houston, a 2015 NCAA Championships qualifier, took eighth place overall with 306.95 points. Senior Kristina Hoffmann took 10th in the preliminary round (282.65) while freshmen Meghan O'Brien and Brooke Pospichal placed 13th (273.55) and 25th (212.35), respectively.
The Texas women continue the UT Diving Invite Friday with the one-meter preliminary round at 10:30 a.m. The finals air live on Longhorn Network at 5 p.m.
