• FAMILIAR FOE: Texas and Washington will meet for the second time in the last 13 days on Thursday at the Battle 4 Atlantis - and both contests will be played outside the U.S. borders. The Huskies posted a 77-71 win on Nov. 14 in Shanghai, China (Nov. 13 back in the U.S.).
• DAVIS PROVIDES SPARK: Freshman guard Eric Davis, Jr. gave the Longhorns a lift offensively during Wednesday's loss. Davis recorded a team-high 19 points on 6-of-10 FG, including 4-of-7 from three-point range, in 28 minutes. Entering the contest, Davis had totaled 11 points in 38 minutes in his first two contests.
• RIDLEY CONTINUES FAST START: Senior center Cameron Ridley is nearly averaging a double-double with 11.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in addition to 3.3 blocks per contest through the first three games. Ridley had 14 points (5-of-8 FG), five boards and one block in 29 minutes against No. 25/nr Texas A&M on Wednesday night.
