Brown helps seal home field advantage for Patriots
AUSTIN, Texas - The first week in the final quarter of the NFL season is in the books and there are two big things to take away from it. First, home field advantage in the AFC was clinched by the New England Patriots. Second, the NFC East continues to be the most interesting playoff race in the league. The Eagles, Giants and Redskins secured wins this week, putting them in a three-way tie in the division with records of 6-7. The Carolina Panthers remain the lone unbeaten but playoff veterans the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks are surging at the right time.
It was an injury-free Week 14 for the Longhorns in the NFL. The performances this week were modest but one recently graduated Longhorn did standout amongst the rest. Malcom Brown was a defensive force in the middle this week, and recovered a fumble at the seven yard-line that led to a Patriots score in their 27-6 win over the Texans.
Come back next week to keep up with all your favorite Longhorns in the NFL.
