• K-State leads, 17-11. Last meeting: K-State 74-57 (Feb. 8, 2014; Manhattan).
• Saturday's contest marks the 29th meeting between Texas and Kansas State.
• The Wildcats hold a 17-11 lead in the all-time series which dates back to an 87-60 K-State win in Manhattan on Dec. 8, 1971.
• The two teams met again in the 1971-72 season at the NCAA Midwest Regional, resulting in a 66-55 K-State victory in Ames, Iowa (March 16, 1972).
• The Longhorns are 10-11 against K-State during the Rick Barnes era.
Notables
• BLOCK PARTY: Texas leads the nation in blocked shots per game (7.7 bpg) through games of Feb. 4. The Horns have blocked at least eight shots in 13 of their first 22 contests.
• TAYLOR ON A ROLL: Sophomore guard Isaiah Taylor has averaged 17.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game over the last five contests entering Saturday's game in Manhattan. Taylor had a game-high 18 points in a career-high 43 minutes during Wednesday's home overtime loss to Oklahoma State.
• HOLLAND IMPRESSES ALL-AROUND: Junior guard Demarcus Holland recorded a season-high 14 points (5-of-6 FG, 4-of-4 threes), five rebounds and two assists in a career-high 42 minutes during Wednesday's overtime game vs. Oklahoma State. Holland also had primary defensive responsibility against Phil Forte and limited Forte to 14 points on 3-of-13 FG (1-of-3 threes).
