AT A GLANCE
• No. 10 Texas opens postseason play this weekend at the Big 12 Men's Tennis Championship in Waco. The No. 4 seed Longhorns face No. 5 seed Texas Tech in the quarterfinals on Friday at 8:30 a.m. Central. The winner of Friday's match advances to the semifinals to play No. 1 seed Oklahoma on Saturday at 12 p.m. Central.
• For the first time in Big 12 Men's Tennis Championship history, the title match on Sunday (12 p.m. Central) will be nationally televised. FOX Sports 2 will carry the action with Lincoln Rose and Kevin Corke on the call.
• The tournament will feature four top-10 nationally ranked teams -- No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Baylor, No. 6 TCU and No. 10 Texas. The 10th-ranked Longhorns have made an appearance in the top-10 of all 14 ITA team polls this season.
TEXAS IN THE BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP
• Texas holds an all-time record of 23-14 in the Big 12 Men's Tennis Championship.
• The Longhorns have claimed four Big 12 Championship titles (1997, 1999, 2006, 2010). Texas was the No. 1 seed in 1997, 1999, 2010 and the No. 2 seed in 2006. Texas has reached the finals of the tournament on seven occasions.
• UT is a No. 4 seed for the second time in the 18-year history of the Big 12 Men's Tennis Championship.
• Last season in Fort Worth, UT received a bye to the semifinal round as the No. 2 seed and lost to No. 3 seed Oklahoma, 4-0.
TEXAS-TEXAS TECH SERIES
• Texas has won the last three meetings against Texas Tech and leads the all-time series, 65-6-2.
• In the regular season, the Longhorns defeated the Red Raiders, 4-1, on April 4 in Austin.
• Texas is 5-1 against Texas Tech in the Big 12 Championship play. The last time the teams met in the Big 12 postseason tournament was the 2010 semifinal, which No. 1 seed Texas defeated No. 4 seed Texas Tech, 4-0.
Five honored on Academic All-Big 12 team
• Five Longhorns were named to the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 Men's Tennis Teams this week. UT's first-team honorees include senior Lloyd Glasspool, senior Søren Hess-Olesen, senior Jacoby Lewis, and junior Michael Riechmann. Junior Nick Naumann earned second team honors.
• Hess-Olesen has earned first team honors for three consecutive years.
• First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 GPA or better. A total of 17 Big 12 Men's Tennis student-athletes earned first-team recognition.
HESS-OLESEN WINS 100TH CAREER MATCH
• Senior three-time All-American Søren Hess-Olesen became the ninth student-athlete in Texas history to reach 100 singles wins. Hess-Olesen reached the century mark by defeating TCU's 44th-ranked Nick Chappell in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, on April 18, 2015 in Fort Worth.
• Hess-Olesen enters the week with a 100-37 (.730) career singles record. All but one of his 56 wins during dual match competition have been at the No. 1 position in the lineup. This season, Hess-Olesen is 27-5 overall, 17-3 during dual match play, and 17-4 against ranked opponents.
• The Denmark native has been ranked in the top-5 of the ITA's national singles poll for nine consecutive weeks, including a No. 1 ranking on March 24. He has been ranked in all but two singles polls during his entire collegiate career.
• Hess-Olesen maintained a 17-match winning streak from Jan. 11 to March 17 this season.
• Hess-Olesen is the 2014 Big 12 Player of the Year, 2014 regular season champion at No. 1 singles, a three-time All-Big 12 honoree, and a three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection. Last season he advanced to the NCAA Singles Championship semifinals and earned ITA All-America honors in singles and doubles.

CENTER REACHES 300TH WIN AT TEXAS
• Michael Center notched his 300th victory as the head coach of Texas after a 4-1 win over No. 21 Texas Tech on April 4 in Austin.
• Center has guided the Longhorns to a 302-107 (.738) record in 15 years at Texas while appearing in the NCAA tournament during each season of his tenure.
SINGLES SUMMARY
• UT's top three positions in singles are a combined 48-12 this season, including a 34-6 mark at singles positions one and two.
• Texas holds a 78-35 (.690) record in singles competition during dual match play.
• Senior All-American Søren Hess-Olesen (27-5, 17-3 dual) has led the Longhorns at the No. 1 singles position in the lineup for four years. Hess-Olesen has a 17-3 record at No. 1 singles and 17 wins over nationally ranked opponents.
• Senior All-American Lloyd Glasspool (16-7, 11-3) has won 11 of his last 14 decisions at No. 2 singles.
