Three more game times set for 2015 Football schedule

Texas’ contest with Rice will kick off at 7 p.m. while games vs. Cal and Texas Tech will both start at 6:30 p.m.

Three more game times for the 2015 football season have been set with the announcement by the Big 12 Conference that the Texas vs. Rice contest on Saturday, Sept. 12, will kick off at 7 p.m. Central and the games vs. Cal (Saturday, Sept. 19) and Texas Tech (Thanksgiving Day - Nov. 26) will both start at 6:30 p.m.
All three home games will air nationally. The Rice game, presented by Southwest Airlines, will be shown on Longhorn Network, the Cal contest, presented by St. David's HealthCare, on FOX, and the Texas Tech game, presented by AT&T, on FOX Sports 1.
The Texas season opener on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Notre Dame was previously announced as a 6:30 p.m. start time (nationally on NBC).
All remaining Big 12 package television selections will be announced on a 12-day or six-day basis throughout the season.
Texas and Rice are longtime foes, having met 93 times. The Longhorns hold a 71-21-1 edge in a series in which the teams last met in 2011. UT has won all five meetings with the Bears, including a 21-10 victory in the 2011 Holiday Bowl. The Horns lead the series with the Red Raiders by a 49-15 mark.
Season tickets are available for purchase for the six-game home slate. The remaining three games are:
• Sept. 26: Oklahoma State
• Oct. 24: Kansas State
• Nov. 11: Kansas
