Softball to hold walk-on tryouts

The Texas softball team will hold walk-on tryouts for all full-time UT female students on Thurs., Sept. 10
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas softball team will hold walk-on tryouts for full-time UT female students on Thurs., September 10. The tryouts are scheduled from 5-6 p.m. at Red and Charline McCombs Field at 2001 Comal Street.
Participants must be full-time students at The University of Texas and currently enrolled in at least 12 hours of classes this fall semester. All participants must register in advance by picking up the Pre-Participation Medical Screening booklet from the Olympic Sports and Compliance office on the North End Zone - 5th Floor. All forms must be completed and turned in to the Athletics Compliance office (NEZ 5th floor) by noon on Tues., September 8.
Participants must have proof of and complete the following in order to tryout:
• Completed physical (conducted by a physician within the last six months)
• Sickle-cell testing
• Valid health insurance card
• Complete online UT Compliance forms
