Cox wins silver and bronze at FINA Short Course World Championships

All-America senior Madisyn Cox adds silver and bronze to go with bronze from earlier this week.
WINDSOR, Ontario – Texas All-America senior Madisyn Cox collected her second and third medals of the meet and won silver and bronze Saturday evening at the 2016 FINA Short Course World Championships.
Cox anchored Team USA to silver in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay, as she joined Leah Smith, Mallory Comerford and Sarah Gibson to finish in 7 minutes, 38.65 seconds. The Lubbock native anchored the relay in 1:55.03.
Cox picked up her second individual medal of the meet earlier in the evening when she won bronze in the 200m individual medley at 2:05.93. Olympic gold medalist Katinka Hosszu won the gold at 2:02.90 while American Ella Eastin claimed silver at 2:05.02.
Cox's bronze in the 200m IM matches her bronze in the 400m IM from Tuesday (Dec. 6). The 10-time All-American now owns four international medals. Cox won silver in the 200m IM at the 2015 World University Games.
