• FIRST 'TRUE' ROAD GAME: The Longhorns will play their first 'true road' contest of the 2016-17 season, when they take the court Tuesday night in Ann Arbor. Texas played two neutral-site contests in Brooklyn, N.Y. (Nov. 21-22) at the Legends Classic.
• SECOND-HALF SURGE: Texas rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit (38-26) and posted a 51-30 scoring margin in the second half during Friday's win against Alabama. The Horns hit 56.7% (17-30) from the floor in the final 20 minutes while holding Alabama to 40.9% (9-22). Trailing 62-60 at the 4:05 mark, Texas closed the game with a 17-6 run.
• MACK'S IMPROVEMENT: Sophomore Tevin Mack leads the team in scoring (14.0 ppg) while hitting 47.6 percent (30-63) from the floor, including 41.2 percent (14-34) from three-point range. He has reached double figures in scoring in five of his first six contests this year, after posting double-digit efforts just five times in 33 games last season.
