Diving Preview: NCAA Zone "D" Diving Meet

Longhorns divers must earn their NCAA Championships bids at the NCAA Zone “D” Diving meet this week.
WHAT: The Texas men's and women's divers will take part in the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Meet, one of five such zone meets held across the country this week. Divers compete in their respective zone meet to earn bids to the NCAA Championships.
WHERE: Student Rec Center Natatorium – College Station, Texas

11 a.m.: Women's 1-meter
5:45 p.m.: Men's 3-meter
Tuesday, March 8
11 a.m.: Women's 3-meter
5:45 p.m.: Men's 1-meter

PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS
Texas, Texas A&M, SMU, TCU, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa State, Houston, Minnesota, Arkansas, Arkansas-Little Rock, Wisconsin, LSU, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Iowa, North Texas, St. Louis, Northern Iowa, New Orleans, North Dakota, South Dakota State and Tulane.
QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: The top five female and top four male divers from each event at their zone meet will advance to the NCAA Championships. Additional place finishers in each event at each zone will be eligible based on the number of student-athletes from that zone who finished in the top 16 in that event at the 2015 NCAA Championships. As such, the final Zone "D" allocation of qualifiers is as follows: six women/seven men on one-meter; nine women/seven men on three-meter and nine women/eight men on platform.
