No. 18 Men's Tennis to meet Lamar in first round of NCAA Championships

Longhorns head to College Station to take on the Cardinals on Friday, May 13.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 18 Texas (17-11) will travel to College Station, Texas, to take on Lamar in the first round of the NCAA Championships on Friday, May 13 (UPDATE - MATCH WILL START AT 10 A.M. CT).
The Texas-Lamar winner will meet the Texas A&M-George Washington winner in the NCAA Championships' second round on Saturday, May 14 in College Station (1 p.m. CT)
Texas and Lamar met on Jan. 12 when the Longhorns dealt the Cardinals a 6-1 defeat in Austin.
The Longhorns earn their 25th consecutive bid to the NCAA Championships and their 34th overall selection since the NCAA bracketed tournament was introduced in 1977.
UT holds a 50-33 record at the NCAA Championships. Texas posted its best NCAA Championships team finish in 2008 when it finished as the national runner-up.
