• VALUE AND SHARE THE ROCK: Texas recorded an impressive 23-to-5 assist-to-turnover ratio as a team during Friday night's season opener. Freshman point guard Matt Coleman registered 7 assists without a turnover in his collegiate debut.
• BALANCED ATTACK: Seven different Longhorns reached double figures in scoring during Friday's season opener.
