Scott advances to second round at Oracle ITA Masters

UT junior Harrison Scott wins three-setter in tournament opener.
MALIBU, Calif. – Texas junior Harrison Scott rallied for a three-set win in his singles opener Thursday afternoon at the Oracle ITA Masters event.
The 22nd-ranked Canadian dropped his first set to Northern Arizona's Tim Handel, 5-7 before making short work of Handel in the ensuing two sets. Scott finished off a 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 win to set up a second-round meeting on Friday against Jack Malloy of California.
Scott also teamed up with Lily Miyazaki of Oklahoma to post a pair of wins in mixed doubles.
