Volleyball’s Ogbogu signs with Il Bisonte Firenze

Longhorn All-American Chiaka Ogbogu will begin her professional volleyball career in Florence, Italy.
AUSTIN, Texas – Longhorn Volleyball All-American Chiaka Ogbogu has signed a contract to play professionally in Florence, Italy, the program announced on Sunday.
Ogbogu will compete with Il Bisonte Firenze beginning this spring.
In December, she became the second player in Texas Volleyball Texas history to earn three First Team All-America honors and the fourth to earn four honors.
Ogbogu finished the 2017 season with 253 kills (2.58/set) on a team-leading .399 hitting efficiency. She had 174 total blocks, the most in a single season since 1999, and her 1.64 blocks/set are the second-most in a season in history.
