• BACK IN THE RANKINGS: Texas returned to the national rankings in both major national polls (No. 17 in AP and USA Today Coaches) released Monday. This marks UT's first appearance in The AP Top 25 since Nov. 21, 2016 (No. 22).
• DEFENSE INTO OFFENSE: UT has forced an average of 18.8 turnovers per game in the first six contests. During the last four games, the Longhorns have registered a 105-35 (+70) margin in points off turnovers.
• ROACH ON A ROLL: Senior G Kerwin Roach II earned a spot on the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational All-Tournament Team, averaging 23.5 ppg, 6.0 apg, 3.5 spg and 4.0 rpg in 33.5 mpg in the two games.
• IMPACT FRESHMAN: Freshman F Jaxson Hayes claimed Phillips 66 Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors on Monday for the second straight week. He averaged 13.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 3.0 bpg while converting 9-11 FG and 8-10 FT in the two contests in Vegas.
