Bromberg earns the fourth-place finish with a score of 542.55 on her third-straight day of competition
ATLANTA, Ga. – University of Texas diver Murphy Bromberg secured a fourth-place finish on platform on Wednesday afternoon at the 2018 USA Diving Winter Trials in Atlanta. Bromberg is the only diver at the Winter Trials to have competed in the last three days of competition after she took gold in both the women's 3m synchro and platform synchro events the last two days.
After finishing in the top-three in the prelims, Bromberg took her momentum into the first round by throwing her highest point-earning dive with an inward 3.5 somersault tuck for 76.80 points. Bromberg carried a 53.44 point round average throughout the finals but would eventually fall short of earning another medal by just 3.25 points.
The Longhorn diving contingent will be back in action tomorrow at the USA Diving Winter Trials with Meghan O'Brien and Alison Gibson competing on 1-meter.
