The Arnold Palmer Cup will take place July 6-8, 2018 at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France.
Senior Texas women's golfer Sophia Schubert has been named to the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup Team, it was announced Wednesday on Golf Channel.
The Arnold Palmer Cup will take place July 6-8, 2018 at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France. The 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup will be the first using the expanded format of United States men's and women's collegiate golfers vs. their counterparts from around the world.
Schubert, who set the school's single-season stroke average last season at 72.49, entered this week's competition at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii with a team-best stroke average of 70.22.
Entering this week, Schubert had participated in three tournaments for the Longhorns in 2017-18 and has recorded top-10 individual performances in each of those three events. She is a two-time Big 12 Golfer of the Month, earning that accolade in both October and November.
Schubert claimed individual medalist honors at the Betsy Rawls Invitational with a six-under-par three-round total of 210 (69-70-71). She became the eighth all-time Longhorn and first since 2011 to win the event.
