The Jordan Brand Classic will take place Sunday, April 8 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Texas women's basketball signees Charli Collier and Sedona Prince are among the 24 players nationally who have been selected to participate in the prestigious 2018 Jordan Brand Classic. The event will take place Sunday, April 8 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., with tipoff slated for 2:30 p.m. CT.
Collier and Prince will mark the seventh and eighth signees in Texas history who have been invited to play in the Jordan Brand Classic, which began in 2015. The Longhorns have boasted signees who have earned Co-MVP honors at the Jordan Brand Classic in back-to-back years with Joyner Holmes (2016) and Chasity Patterson (2017).
Collier is a 6-foot-5 forward/center from Crosby, Texas, who is the nation's top-ranked player according to Prospects Nation and the Blue Star Report, and the No. 2 player by espnW Hoop Gurlz. Prince is a 6-foot-7 center from Liberty Hill, Texas, who is the nation's 12th-ranked player according to espnW Hoop Gurlz and is ranked sixth nationally by both Blue Star Report and Prospects Nation
Both Collier and Prince also were named McDonald's All-Americans earlier this winter and both have also been named WBCA and Naismith High School All-Americans. Along with Joanne Allen-Taylor and Audrey Warren, they comprise the nation's No. 3 recruiting class, according to ESPN.com.
