113th meeting between Big 12 Rivals is set for Oct. 6 in the Cotton Bowl.
The University of Texas' allotment of tickets for the annual AT&T Red River Showdown rivalry football game with Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl are already sold out. This year's meeting, which will be the 113th all-time between two of the Top 10-winningest programs in NCAA history, is set for Oct. 6 in Dallas.
"I'm looking forward to my first AT&T Red River Showdown, and it's exciting to see that our fans are too," said UT Vice President and Athletics Director Chris Del Conte. "It's going to be awesome walking around the State Fairgrounds and heading into that stadium full of our fans decked out in burnt orange and white."
Texas was able to fill all requests from students who ordered the Big Ticket by the posted deadline. All season ticket holder and Longhorn Foundation member orders were also filled according to ticket limits. But due to high demand, limits on tickets were placed on pre-order requests beyond that.
"There's nothing like the Texas-OU game and seeing all of those seats on the north end of the stadium filled with Longhorns," said Texas head coach Tom Herman. "It's just an amazing atmosphere."
A limited number of season tickets remain for the Longhorns' six-game home slate at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in 2018. It's important to note the only way to purchase tickets to Texas' matchup with USC in Austin on Sept. 15 is as a part of the season ticket package.
