- The No. 11 Texas women's basketball team looks to bounce back from a road loss to Kansas State when it plays host to TCU on Saturday. Tip-off in the Frank Erwin Center is slated for 1 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised by Longhorn Network.
- The Series: Texas and TCU meet for the 45th time in the history of the two programs with the Longhorns leading the all-time series 41-3. Texas is a perfect 20-0 against the Horned Frogs when the game is played in Austin. The two teams split a pair of meetings last season.
- On The Boards: Texas ranks third nationally in rebound margin at +13.9. The Longhorns rank second in the Big 12 Conference with 746 total boards on the season and Texas is averaging 43.9 rebounds per game, which ranks 18th nationally. The Longhorns have held or tied for the rebounding advantage in 16 of the 17 games they have played this season and 105 of the last 122 games overall. Texas also is 15th nationally in offensive rebounds per game at 16.0.
- Sug[ar] and Spice: Junior Sug Sutton, in her first season as her team's starting point guard, is one of the nation's top all-around floor leaders. Sutton, who has played in 85 career games, ranks 10th nationally in total assists with 100. She is also 17th in the nation in assists per game at 5.9. She is filling up the stat sheet with 12.5 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, a 1.8 assist-to-turnover ratio and a field-goal percentage of 49.4. In league action only, she is the Big 12's only player to rank in the top-10 in the conference in points per game [17.2], assists per game [5.8] and field-goal percentage [58.6].
- Balance: Texas is benefiting from a balanced lineup this season. Seven Longhorns are averaging 6.0 points per game this season and seven different players have been the team's leading scorer in 17 games this year. There have been six different starting lineups and nine active players have started at least one game. Six players are averaging 20 minutes per game or better.
