The Baton Rouge native overcame injury to finish with 24 tackles, 1.5 TFL and two quarterback hurries as a junior.
Texas Football junior Malcolm Roach announced on Thursday that he was returning for his senior season. Roach, who played in nine games around an injury, posted 24 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two QB hurries and a pass breakup in helping the Longhorns to a 10-4 record, appearance in the Big 12 Championship Game and a 2019 Allstate Sugar Bowl championship.
"Winning the Sugar Bowl was an amazing way to cap off my junior year," Roach said. "We ended on a high note, but everyone in that locker room knew that we have unfinished business. I received a great deal of attention from the NFL this season. However, after talking it over with my family, I've decided to return for my senior year and earn my degree from The University of Texas. Longhorn Nation, we will be back!"
