Women’s Diving takes the top three spots in platform competition

Paola Pineda wins the platform contest.
AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas women's divers swept the platform contest on day three of the 2019 Texas Diving Invitational on Saturday morning.
Sophomore Paola Pineda got her second title of the season, winning the platform contest with a score of 277.35. After a stellar first dive that earned a score of 60.80, Pineda jumped into first and stayed there throughout the rest of the contest.
Freshman Janie Boyle took the second spot with a score of 274.95, after her last round dive jumped her from third to second.
Jordan Skilken completed the sweep with a third-place finish and a score of 258.40.
The Texas women's swimming and diving team will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 4 for the Minnesota Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn.
