NOTES
- The Texas women's basketball team will spend Thanksgiving in Hawaii as it travels to Honolulu to participate in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown. The Longhorns will open up by facing No. 12/12 NC State on Friday. Tip-off at the Stan Sheriff Center is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT and the game will be carried on the radio at 105.3 FM in Austin and at TexasSports.com/audio online.
- The Series: Texas and NC State are meeting for the eighth time in the history of the two programs with the Longhorns leading the all-time series 6-1. The two teams last met in the second round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament with the Longhorns winning an 84-80 thriller at the Frank Erwin Center. Texas is 22-13 [.629] all-time against teams in the current alignment of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
- Double Trouble: Texas leads the nation with 11 double-doubles so far this season. It's an impressive statistic, especially considering that during the 2018-19 campaign, the Longhorns charted only 10 double-doubles the entire season. Post players Charli Collier and Joyner Holmes are tied for second in the nation with five double-doubles apiece. They each have a double-double in every game this year. In the Longhorns' game against UTRGV, three players garnered double-dips, including senior guard Lashann Higgs' second career double-double.
- Record Watch: The Texas school record for most consecutive double-doubles is six, held by Nneka Enemkpali, set during the 2012-13 campaign. Charli Collier and Joyner Holmes are tied for second all-time - along with Tiffany Jackson - with five consecutive double-doubles.
- On The Boards: Success on the boards has been a staple of Texas teams for many years. In fact the Longhorns have tied or won the rebounding battle in 122 of their last 143 games overall, including four of five games this season. The Longhorns hold a +15.0 rebounding margin.
- Among the Nation's Best: Texas has 1,091 all-time victories in its program history and ranks sixth all-time against NCAA Division I teams. The Longhorns have also won 73.2 percent of their games all-time.
