TEXAS HEAD COACH KAREN ASTON
"We're not as good as we need to be. That is a reality right now for our team. We have to look ourselves in the mirror, and that starts with myself and our staff. We need to figure out how to get our team to execute better and understand the value of possessions. I thought we played really well for some stretches but we weren't mindful that the other team was going to come back."
"I definitely think we learned about what opponents are going to do to approach us. Offensively, the times that we were patient and saw the right things, I thought we looked really good in some stretches. But there were times that we were trying to do too much. It was like an individual trying to make a play instead of staying within the framework of the offense. Again, that falls back on discipline. Hopefully we'll learn as we go along and continue to improve. We're just not where we need to be."
