The Longhorns and Utes will meet on New Year’s Eve in San Antonio.
AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas Football program has been selected to represent the Big 12 Conference in the 2019 Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 31 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Kickoff against Utah will be at 6:45 p.m. Central on ESPN.

The 2019 Valero Alamo Bowl marks the 56th all-time bowl appearance for the Longhorns and the 24th for the Utes. Texas bested then-No. 5 Georgia, 28-21, in the Allstate Sugar Bowl last season, while Utah was bested by Northwestern, 31-20, in the Holiday Bowl.

Dec. 29, 5 p.m., Rudy's Bar-B-Q Pep Rally, Arneson River Theatre: Unique bowl week event features an interactive team parade on the River Walk, general admission seating
Dec. 31, 1-6 p.m., Valero Alamo Bowl Fan Zone, Sunset Station (adjacent to the Alamodome): Interactive games, food and drink booths, live music
Immediately following the game there will be a postgame New Year's Eve celebration on the Alamodome West Plaza, with food and drink booths and a fantastic view of the downtown fireworks extravaganza.
