No. 5 Women’s Swimming & Diving finishes third at Minnesota Invite

A second-place finish in the 400 Free Relay wraps up 2019 Minnesota Invite.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The No. 5 Women's swimming finish the 2019 Minnesota Invite in third place with a score of 586. California won the meet with a score of 1135.5, and Michigan came in second with a 727.5 team score.
Sophomore Evie Pfeifer came in third in the 1650 Free with a time of 16:03.97.
Sophomore Julia Cook won the 200 Back with time of 1:52.72.
In the 100 Free, Claire Adams finished in third with a time of 48.40, and Bridget Semenuk followed in fourth with a time 48.51.
Freshman Kelly Pash won the 200 Fly with a 1:54.54 time, while senior Lauren Case came in sixth with a mark of 1:57.86.
The Longhorns wrapped up the Minnesota Invite with a second-place finish in the 400 Free Relay, hitting a time of 3:13.06, with Semenuk, Cook, Pash and Adams.
The Texas swimmers will return to action on January 31 at Arizona, while the divers head to the USA Diving Winter Nationals in Minneapolis over Dec. 15-22.
