The Longhorns posted two wins and four runner-up finishes on the final day of the meet.

AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Texas Track & Field program posted two wins and four runner-up finishes on the final day of the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Sam Worley won the Jerry Thompson Mile going away in a personal best time of 4:04.59 while Teahna Daniels won the 200m Invitational.
The Longhorns posted several runner-up finishes on the final day of competition, as well. Elena Bruckner highlighted those second-place finishes with a school record in the discus. She broke her own school record with a throw of 57.40m/188-4 on her final attempt. She then turned around less than two hours later and finished runner up in the shot put.
Tripp Piperi continues to have an impressive sophomore year, opening up his outdoor season with a throw of 20.49m/67-2.75 to become the No. 4 performer in school history. The final second-place finish of the day was from Kynnedy Flannel, who ran 11.16 (4.3 m/s) to finish second in the 100m.
The Longhorns ended the 2019 Texas Relays with nine total wins, including the two on Saturday. Ashtin Zamzow started the meet with an impressive school record mark of 6,148 points in the heptathlon to become the first-ever Longhorn to win the event at the Relays. Then, later on Thursday night, Anna McDonald and Alex Rogers helped UT sweep the 3000m steeplechase. Georgia Wahl was victorious in the section B long jump, before the men's sprint medley relay, men's distance medley relay and women's distance medley relay posted wins on Friday evening.
