Conde De Frankenberg moves to No. 2 all-time as Longhorns post multiple personal bests Saturday.
AZUSA, Calif. – No. 4/5 Texas Track & Field wrapped up competition Saturday at the Bryan Clay Invitational with a series of strong performances in the 1,500 meters at Cougar Stadium.
In the women's 1,500 meters invite, Isabel Conde De Frankenberg recorded a personal-best 4:14.49 to move to No. 2 on Texas' all-time performers list, marking the fifth-fastest performance in program history. Aishling Callanan crossed the line in 4:25.65.
In the women's 1,500 meters open A, Grace Kowalski recorded a personal-best 4:28.48.
On the men's side, the Longhorns saw three personal-best efforts in the 1,500 meters open A, led by Hudson Bennett (3:46.99), followed by Zain Hamdani (3:49.57) and Joaquin De La Cruz (3:50.13).
Mia Perez highlighted the women's 1,500 meters open B section, posting the top time in the field with a personal-best 4:26.63. Emma Wade added a time of 4:41.40 in the same section.
The remainder of the Texas track & field squad also wrapped up competition Saturday at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
Texas returns to action April 24-25 at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco, Texas.
