AUSTIN, Texas – Kickoff times and television selections for four of Texas' contests in the 2019 season were released on Thursday.
The season opener against Louisiana Tech on Saturday, Aug. 31, will air on Longhorn Network at 7 p.m. CT, while CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) will air the road opener at Rice in NRG Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. CT. The AT&T Red River Showdown against Oklahoma on Saturday, Oct. 12, will be on FOX at 11 a.m. CT, and the Longhorns' Thanksgiving week home game against Texas Tech on Friday, Nov. 29, will be on FOX or FS1 at 11 a.m. CT.
The contest between Texas and Louisiana Tech will be the first ever meeting between the teams. The Longhorns will face Rice for the first time since 2015 and the first time at NRG Stadium since 2010. This will be the second-straight year Texas and Oklahoma will meet at 11 a.m. on FOX, while the Longhorns return home for Thanksgiving week after playing at Kansas last season. Two seasons ago, it was Texas Tech that Texas hosted during that week.
Texas' Sept. 7 home game against LSU was recently announced as a 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff on ABC, as well.
New football season tickets go on sale Thursday, June 6, online at TexasSports.com/tickets or by calling 512-471-3333. Available season tickets begin at just $480 per seat, which includes a $150 per seat gift to the Longhorn Foundation. Purchasing season tickets is the only way to guarantee seats for the LSU game on Sept. 7, as any remaining single game tickets will be offered first to current season ticket holders.
