Big 12 S&D Day 1 Results

Grayson Campbell grabbed the first individual title of the 2020 Big 12 Championships, Texas sweeps all three events day one.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 1 Texas Men's Swimming and Diving program finished the opening day of the 2020 Big 12 Championship Meet with three victories at the Aquatic Center at Mylon Park in Morgantown, West Virginia.

NOTES

The relay grouping of Chris Staka, Caspar Corbeau, Maxime Rooney and Daniel Krueger set a Big 12 Championship Record in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:23.56 to take home the victory. Rooney took the third leg in a time of 19.83, while Krueger anchored at 18.86.
In the 1m diving competition, Texas went 1-2-3-4-5. Grayson Campbell won the event with a score of 422.45. Jordan Windle finished in second with a score of 391.20. Andrew Harness followed with a score of 351.00, while Andrew Gawin-Parigini came in fourth with a score of 337.35. And senior Jacob Cornish came in fifth with a score of 335.05. Harness' result did not count toward the team competition as he was an exhibition.
Campbell now has his second straight Big 12 title in the 1m.
With a time of 6:16.56, Sam Pomajevich, Rooney, Austin Katz and Drew Kibler took home the title in the 800 free relay.
