Six Longhorn divers qualify on day one of NCAA Zone D Championships

Three men and three women earn spots to the NCAA Championship on day one
DALLAS, Texas – The Texas Divers made quick work of Day one of the NCAA Zone D Championships at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium on the campus on SMU in Dallas.
On the men's side, the Longhorns had three qualifiers in the 3m competition.
Jordan Windle won the 3m competition with an overall score of 820.85 over 12 dives. He recorded 411.35 in the prelims, and took home the win with a 409.50 in the finals. Teammate Grayson Campbell finished in second with an 816.80. He scored a 402.85 in prelims, and followed it up with an impressive 413.95 in the finals to close the gap to first. The third Longhorn to qualify was freshman Andrew Harness, who finished in seventh with a score of 704.55, following a 340.75 in prelims.
Jacob Cornish finished in 10th with a score of 696.55, and should he qualify in the 1m or platform, he will also be qualified for the 3m. Andrew Gawin-Parigini made finals and finished in 15th with a score of651.80.
In the women's 1m competition, Texas again earned three qualifiers in Alison Gibson, Paola Pineda and Morgan Menninger.
Gibson finished second with a score of 603.85 through all 12 dives, including a 299.05 in prelims. Pineda finished in fourth with an overall score of 578.80 after a prelim score of 283.55. Menninger came in eighth with a overall score of 550.80, including a prelim score of 279.45.
Jordan Skilken, 527.25, and Janie Boyle, 522.15, both made finals and finished 14th and 15th, respectively.
