• SERIES HISTORY: The Longhorns hold a 29-11 advantage over Kansas all-time, including winning 15 of the last 16 meetings dating back to the 2013 season. The 15-game winning streak was the longest by either side in series history. Texas is 14-4 against the Jayhawks all-time when the programs face off on the Forty Acres.
• TURNING THEM OVER: Texas' pressure defense has made an impression on the national and Big 12 stats rankings this year. UT forced a season-high 35 turnovers in a win over SMU on Nov. 25, and created 34 turnovers in its Big 12 opener at Kansas State on Dec. 21. As a result, the Longhorns rank seventh in turnovers forced per game (23.3) and ninth nationally in turnover margin (+8.1). Both of those are the best marks among Big 12 programs this season.
• CREATING OFFENSE FROM DEFENSE: Texas is utilizing its defense to create offense this season, as the Longhorns has scored at least 20 points off turnovers in eight of 10 games this season. The Longhorns posted a season-high 39 points off turnovers in the season opener versus SMU, and hit the 30-point mark in three-straight outings against Drake (33 points), at Kansas State (38 points) and against Lamar (32 points).
• CHASING CHARLI: Preseason National Player of the Year candidate Charli Collier has put up All-America numbers this season, averaging 21.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Collier currently ranks fourth in the NCAA in free throws made (66), sixth in free throw attempts (79), ninth in double-doubles (6), 13th in total points (216), 15th in offensive rebounds per game (4.3), 20th in points per game (21.6), 27th in total rebounds (99) and 29th in field goal percentage (0.579). Against North Texas, Collier scored a career-high 44 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, marking the first time a Big 12 player had scored 44 points and grabbed at least 15 boards in a game since at least 1999-2000.
