The Longhorns earned their ninth double-digit win of the season on Wednesday night.
AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas women's basketball team earned its ninth double-digit win of the season on Wednesday night, as the Longhorns bested TCU, 71-54, at the Frank Erwin Center. The win pushes Texas out to 10-3 overall this season, and 4-2 in Big 12 play.
Junior forward/center Charli Collier led the way for the Longhorns, posting the first 20-20 game (points-rebounds) by a Longhorn since Nov. 2012. Collier finished with 23 points and a career-high 20 rebounds. It was only the sixth time on UT record that a Longhorn finished with 20-plus rebounds in a single game. Twelve of her rebounds came on the offensive glass Wednesday night.
Opening the second quarter with a two-point lead, Texas used 7-0 and 9-0 runs to open up a 14-point advantage at halftime. The Longhorns outscored TCU, 22-10, during the second quarter, led by 11 points from Joanne Allen-Taylor and nine from Collier.
Allen-Taylor finished with 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting (2-4 3FG) and made six of her seven free throw attempts. Her 18-point effort was her second-best of the season, and the 11th time she has scored in double figures during the current campaign. Celeste Taylor also scored in double figures, racking up 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Taylor added three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.
Overall, Texas forced 18 TCU turnovers and gave the ball away just 10 times. The Longhorns outscored the Horned Frogs, 24-9, in points off turnovers – the seventh time this season Texas has had a 15-plus-point spread in that category. UT is 8-1 when scoring at least 20 points off turnovers this season.
Up next for the Longhorns is a road trip to face No. 21 Iowa State in Ames on Saturday. Tip-off is currently scheduled for 5 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

• Wednesday marked Texas' ninth win by double digits this season, and third in conference play.
• The Longhorns forced 18 turnovers and gave the ball away only 10 times vs. TCU. Entering the game, Texas was ranked in the top 10 nationally in turnover margin (+7.4).
• UT scored 24 points off turnovers to TCU's nine, the seventh time this season the Longhorns have outscored their opponents on turnovers by at least 15 points. Texas is 8-1 when scoring at least 20 points off turnovers this season as well.
• The Longhorns did not commit a personal foul in the second quarter.

• Grabbed 10 rebounds (5 off/5 def) in the first quarter and scored her 10th point halfway through the second quarter.
• Marked her 28th career game with double-digit rebounds and was the ninth occurrence this season.
• Was her 13th career game with 20-plus points.
• Made 10-plus free throws for the third time in her career, and second time this season.
• Has started all 13 games this season.

• Started for the third-straight game.
• Scored in double-figures for the fourth-straight game, and her seventh time overall this season
Joanne Allen-Taylor
• Scored in double-figures for the 11th time this season.
• Her 18 points vs. TCU marked her second-best output in a game this season.
