The Longhorns dropped a road contest to the Cowgirls in Stillwater Wednesday night.
STILLWATER, Okla. – The Texas women's basketball team dropped a road matchup against Oklahoma State, 68-51, on Wednesday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The loss drops the Longhorns to 11-4 on the year, and 5-3 in Big 12 play.
Junior forward/center Charli Collier notched her NCAA Division I-leading 11th double-double of the season in the loss. It was her fifth-straight double-double as well, as Collier finished with 10 points and 17 rebounds against the Cowgirls. She has recorded 56 rebounds over her last three contests – an average of 18.7 per game.
Behind her, Joanne Allen-Taylor and Celeste Taylor both reached double figures, with each tallying a team-high 11 points. It was the 13th time this season, and 17th time in her career, that Allen-Taylor has scored in double figures, while Wednesday marked the sixth-straight double-digit outing for Taylor.
The Longhorns will look to respond this weekend, when they return to the Frank Erwin Center to host Texas Tech on Saturday night. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT on Longhorn Network.
