• LOOKING TO MAKE HISTORY: Texas will be looking for its first win in program history against an AP No. 1 opponent on Saturday night. The Longhorns defeated UCLA when the Bruins were No. 1 in the coaches poll in the 2007-08 season.
• EFFICIENT AND BALANCED: SIX Longhorns reached double figures in points and EIGHT players scored at least eight points during Tuesday's opening win. The Longhorns converted 64.0-percent (32-50) from the floor, including a 59.1-percent mark (13-22) from three-point range, and had 21 assists on 32 field goals made.
• DEFENSIVE MINDSET: Texas limited Houston Baptist to 48 points on 32.7-percent FG shooting (16-49) in the season opener. HBU posted six assists against 17 turnovers in Tuesday's contest. The Longhorns held the Huskies to 21 points on 28.0-percent FG shooting (7-25) in the second half.
