Leading 11-5 at the 15:27 mark, the Longhorns went on a 17-6 run over the next five minutes to increase their cushion to 28-11 with 9:59 remaining. After an Ibrahima Diallo three-point play trimmed the gap to 28-14 at the 9:10 mark, Texas closed the half with a 19-3 spurt to build a 47-17 halftime cushion.

San Jose State cut the deficit to 26 points (47-21) on a Caleb Simmons three-pointer with 16:38 left, but that was as close as the Spartans would get the rest of the way. Cunningham converted three free throws at the 8:42 mark to give the Longhorns a 32-point lead (63-31), and the margin did not dip below 30 points for the remainder of the contest.
Texas returns to action when it hosts California Baptist as part of the Abe Lemons Classic on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Central at the Frank Erwin Center, and the game will be televised nationally by Longhorn Network.
