AUSTIN, Texas — Senior Audrey Warren racked up a game-high 16 points and sophomore Femme Masudi brought down a team-best 11 boards on Thursday night to help propel No.25/21 Texas to a 77-44 exhibition victory over Oklahoma Baptist inside Gregory Gym.
Warren finished the contest shooting 6-of-10 from the floor and was a perfect 4-of-4 at the charity stripe.
Freshman Kyndall Hunter and Latasha Lattimore were the other Longhorns to finish in double-digits notching 11 and 10 points respectively.
UT came out of the gates fast as they jumped out to a 21-8 advantage in the first quarter. They shot 51.3 percent (20-of-39) in the first half taking a 47-23 lead into the locker room.
The Bison were able to slow UT's offense down in the second half holding them to just 30 percent (6-of-20) mark in the third quarter and 33.3 percent (5-of-15) clip in the fourth. OBU outscored Texas 15-13 in the final frame.
The Longhorns finished the game with a 41.9 percent (31-of-74) mark from the floor and shot 25 percent (2-of-8) from distance.
Oklahoma Baptist finished the game shooting 26.1 precent (12-of-46) from the field. Andreja Peciuraite led the Bison offensively with 10 points.
Texas opens the regular season with a home contest against New Orleans on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Central at the Frank Erwin Center.
General admission tickets are on sale for $10, which also allows entry into the Texas Men's Basketball game vs. Houston Baptist at 8 p.m. Central.
