No. 1 Men's Swimming and Diving dominates No. 9 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The defending 2021 NCAA Champions won in dominant fashion in a top-10 road showdown against No. 9 Virginia.
Texas left its mark against the Cavaliers claiming four Virginia pool records on the way to its third win of the season.
HIGHLIGHTS:
• The 400 yard medley relay of Anthony Grimm, Caspar Corbeau, Alvin Jiang and Daniel Krueger started day two's competition in winning fashion with a time of 3:09.47.
• It was nothing but Longhorns in front of the 500 freestyle as Texas took the top four times led by David Johnston's season-best time of 4:22.21. Coby Carrozza (4:25.69), Alex Zettle (4:27.28) and Luke Hobson (4:27.82) followed.
• Jake Foster won his first of two individual events on the final day of competition in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:55.91. He later set a pool record in the 200 IM with his time of 1:45.66.
• Carson Foster continued his dominating weekend taking down Ryan Lochte's pool record in the 200 backstroke to win the event with the nation's leading time of 1:42.14.
• Krueger and Drew Kibler went one and two in the 100 freestyle at 43.05 and 43.74, respectively.
• Alvin Jiang edged out Virginia's Klinksiek in the final seconds in the 100 butterfly with his time of 47.71.
• Krueger, Corbeau, Auchinachie and Kibler helped Texas go eight for eight on the day, winning the 200 free relay with a time of 1:18.61.
