• HOME SUCCESS vs. WVU UNDER SMART: Texas is 4-1 at home against the Mountaineers under Shaka Smart. Three of the four wins came against ranked WVU squads, including an 85-78 victory over No. 10/11 West Virginia (Feb. 16, 2016), an 87-79 overtime win against No. 20/19 WVU (March 3, 2018) and a 67-57 victory over No. 20/19 West Virginia (Feb. 24, 2020).
• DEFENSE WINS: The Longhorns limited TCU to 55 points 36.5-percent FG shooting (19-52) during last Saturday's win. UT improved to 4-0 this year when holding its opponent to below 60 points.
• AJ1 IN BIG 12 PLAY: Junior G Andrew Jones has topped the 20-point mark in five of UT's first 11 Big 12 Conference contests this year. Jones ranks second in the Big 12 in scoring in league games (19.3 ppg) while converting 46.7-percent (78-167) from the floor. He has averaged a team-best 21.5 ppg while hitting 17-of-30 (.567) field goals over his last two contests.
