Split Swimming and Diving Format: Due to health and safety protocols, the 2021 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships will be split into separate events for swimming and diving. The swimming portion will be held Feb. 24-27 (Wednesday-Saturday), while the diving portion is scheduled for March 1-3 (Monday-Wednesday). The team champions will be crowned at the conclusion of the diving competition on Wednesday, March 3.

Television/Streaming Coverage: Big 12 Now/ESPN+ will provide live coverage of the finals portion of all four days of swimming and all three days of diving. Big 12 Now/ESPN+ will broadcast live from 4-5:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and from 6-8 p.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 25-Saturday, Feb. 27. Big 12 Now/ESPN+ will be live for diving from 6-8 p.m. CT on Monday, March 1-Wednesday, March 3.

Team Rankings: Texas is No. 1 in the latest CSCAA Division I poll (Feb. 11) with 325 points. The Longhorns are followed in the top-10 of the rankings by California (312), Texas A&M (291), Georgia (287), North Carolina State/Florida (both at 267), Louisville (249), Indiana (235), Missouri (200) and Virginia (198).

Storied Program: Texas has claimed 14 NCAA Championships, finished runner-up 12 times and has a total of 33 top-3 finishes at the NCAA Championship meet. UT earned NCAA team titles in 1981, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Conference Dominance: The Longhorns have won all 24 Big 12 Conference titles and have claimed 41 consecutive crowns. This current streak dates back to the 1980 Southwest Conference championship. Texas has earned a total of 62 conference titles (38 Southwest Conference, 24 Big 12 Conference).

Head Coach Eddie Reese: Eddie Reese is in his 43rd season at the helm of the Texas program. A three-time U.S. Men's Olympic Team head coach (1992, 2004, 2008), Reese is the winningest coach in the sport's history with 14 NCAA titles. He has coached 29 Olympians who have amassed 39 gold, 16 silver and eight bronze medals. Reese is the only collegiate swimming coach to win an NCAA team title in four separate decades.
