The Longhorns won all four races against the Wolverines.

BELLEVILLE, Mich. – No. 2 Texas Rowing won all four races against No. 7 Michigan on Belleville Lake on Saturday morning.

"It was great to be back in full race mode this morning, and I'm really impressed with the performance of all boats," said Texas head coach Dave O'Neill. "Michigan is always one of the best programs in the country, so we have to be happy with the results." "

Each boat took control in the first 500m and extended their lead throughout the course.

"Our second in particular stood out for what they did. There are seven freshmen or redshirt freshmen in the boat, and they grew up a lot today," O'Neill said. "We have a lot of work to do over the next six weeks, but today was certainly a good day."

Conditions throughout the morning were ideal for racing, with temperatures in the low 70's and good water. The first 1000m were well protected, while the second 1000m had varying cross headwinds of 3-6 mph.

Next up, Texas will host the 20th Longhorn Invitational on Saturday, April 24 on Walter E. Long Lake. The Longhorns will welcome No. 13 SMU, Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and the University of Central Oklahoma to Austin.
