Austin – No. 4 Men's Tennis earned the No. 4 overall seed in the 2021 NCAA Championship field that was announced Monday by the NCAA. The Longhorns will host First and Second Round matches on Saturday, May 8, and Sunday, May 9, at the Texas Tennis Center.
Texas enters the tournament as the defending National Champion after winning the first team title in program history in 2019. The Longhorns will face Northern Arizona (8-8) on Saturday, May 8 at 12 p.m. CT in the first round, while No. 27 UCLA (13-6) will take on Northwestern (13-7) earlier that day at 9 a.m. CT. The winners of those matches will play at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday, May 9.
The Longhorns earned their 29th consecutive bid to the NCAA Championships and their 38th overall selection since the NCAA bracketed tournament was introduced in 1977 and hold a 63-36 record.
Texas hosts the opening rounds of the NCAA Championships for a fourth-straight year and for the sixth time in the last seven years in which the tournament has been held. It was not held last year due to the pandemic.
Besides the 2019 National Championship, the Longhorns' top finishes came in 1955 and 2008 as the national runners-up, and they have reached at least the round of 16 in each of the last six years with three quarterfinals appearances in 2014, 2017 and 2019 in that span.
The NCAA will announce its singles and doubles qualifiers for the NCAA Championship on Tuesday, May 4 by 5 p.m. CT on NCAA.com.

A reduced number of tickets per match will be available to the public. These tickets will be $5 per day, available as walk-up purchases only, and must be paid for using a debit/credit card.

Inclement Weather
In the case of inclement weather, matches will be moved indoors to the Edgar O. & Melanie A. Weller Tennis Center at the University of Texas Golf Club. Due to the size of the facility, fans will not be permitted to attend matches that are moved indoors.
