10-time Grammy Award-winners and “Texas Longhorn” singer-songwriter close out the 2022 concert series on the LBJ Lawn on Nov. 25
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Legendary Texas artist Asleep At The Wheel will perform at Longhorn City Limits presented by Still Austin Whiskey following the Texas-Baylor game on November 25! Located on the LBJ Lawn, the concert series is FREE admission for all fans and will open at 8 a.m. with very special guest Django Walker slated to hit the stage at 9:30 a.m. Following the football game, Asleep At The Wheel will close out the a fantastic season of Longhorn City Limits.
Founded in 1970, Asleep at the Wheel recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. The revolutionary Texas swing band, led by frontman Ray Benson, are 10-time Grammy Award-winners and have released 31 albums and charted more than 20 singles on the country charts throughout their illustrious career. Benson, a lifelong Longhorns fan, has made numerous appearances at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, the Frank Erwin Center and UFCU Disch-Falk Field over the years. AATW has kept the western swing flame burning for over give decades while inspiring a new generation of artists. Inducted into the ACL Hall of Fame in 2015, the band has made 11 appearances on the historic Austin City Limits TV series.
Austin native Django Walker hits the LCL stage at 9:30 a.m. Walker has wowed crowds since his 2002 debut "Down the Road" introduced Texas fans to a young singer-songwriter who is heir to a distinguished Lone Star musical tradition, but whose tastes and tempos evoke a kinship with a younger generation. Citing influences including his father Jerry Jeff Walker, Coldplay, Tom Petty, Guy Clark, and Pat Green, Django epitomizes the mix of eclectic musical influences that has always characterized the maverick independence of Texas music. His single "Texas Longhorn" is embraced by Longhorn Nation and a staple at Texas Athletics events.

Fans ages 21 and up can enjoy new signature activations at Longhorn City Limits for the 2022 season. Upon entering the LBJ Lawn, fans are invited to experience the Still Austin Music Lounge serving up a full menu of refreshments including the signature Horns Up Bourbon Lemonade on ice, and to relax in a shaded area while enjoying the show. Fans won't want to miss surprises and limited edition swag curated by Still Austin Whiskey Co, the homegrown grain-to-glass craft distillery using 100% Texas grains.
Come relax at the Tito's Tailgate to enjoy refreshing Tito's cocktails on tap, shaded views of the stage, and college football live streaming to tailgate in real Texas fashion.
Concert goers can also enjoy Stubb's BBQ and take a photo in front of the LCL guitar monument located on the west curb of the LBJ Lawn closest to Robert Dedman Drive.
