No. 16 Soccer places three on Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team

Sophomores Trinity Byars, Lexi Missimo & EmJ Cox all earned their second-straight league tourney honor
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas sophomore forward Trinity Byars, sophomore midfielder Lexi Missimo and sophomore defender EmJ Cox were all voted as part of the 13-member Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team on Monday.
The three inclusions tied the 2004 & 2007 Longhorns squads for the third most in program history, while Byars, Missimo and Cox each earned all-tournament honors for the second consecutive season. With the three nods, Texas now owns 32 all-time Big 12 Championship All-Tournament selections.
From a statistical standpoint, Missimo led the Burnt Orange & White's semifinal run with a goal (sixth) and her Big 12-leading 13th and 14th assists of the season during the 4-0 quarterfinal win over Kansas State. Byars scored her league-best 16th goal, while Cox added her seventh goal and also dished an assist (third) in the triumph versus the Wildcats.
No. 16 Texas soccer (14-2-4) will learn its NCAA postseason road on Mon., Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. CT during the broadcast of the annual NCAA Selection Show on NCAA.com.
