Borowski wins gold, Boyle silver at FINA Diving Grand Prix Canada Cup

Manuel Borowski won the 3-meter synchronized with partner Maxwell Weinrich; Janie Boyle earned silver with partner Nike Agunbiade in the platform synchronized.
CALGARY, Alberta – University of Texas Diving won a pair of medals for the United States on the final day of the 2022 FINA Diving Grand Prix Canada Cup on Sunday at the MNP Community and Sport Centre. Manuel Borowski won gold in the synchronized 3-meter and Janie Boyle earned silver in the synchronized platform.
Borowski and partner Maxwell Weinrich dove unchallenged, winning gold in the synchronized 3-meter with 303.69 points. In his first FINA Grand Prix competition, Borowski advanced to the semifinals on the individual 3-meter springboard on Thursday, but scratched to focus on the synchro competition.
Boyle and Nike Agunbiade placed second in the platform synchronized final with a total of 263.16 points. The duo scored over sixty points on each of their three final dives (61.20, 60.48, 65.28) to climb into second on their fifth and final dive. The three 60-point scores were the second to fourth highest scores of the competition. Boyle advanced to two finals in the competition, placing sixth on the individual platform on Saturday evening.
