Viewership for Texas Football’s clash with No. 1 Alabama averaged nearly 10.6 million.
AUSTIN, Texas – Nearly 10.6 million viewers tuned in for Texas Football's game against the Alabama Crimson Tide at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday, the most-watched college football game of the 2022 season FOX Sports announced on Tuesday.

The broadcast averaged 10,595,000 viewers on FOX, peaking at over 15.1 million viewers, and is the fourth-most watch regular season college football matchup in the network's history. Additionally, the game was the most streamed regular season college football or NFL game in FOX history.
The Longhorns (1-1) fell to the top-ranked Crimson Tide, 20-19, in front of a record-breaking crowd of 105,213 at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. UT held a 19-17 lead over Alabama with 1:29 remaining following a 49-yard field goal by Bert Auburn, but Alabama was successful on a 33-yard field goal with 10 seconds left to leave Austin with the victory.
