No. 2 Women’s Swim and Dive wins five events against No. 5 Ohio State and No. 6 Alabama

Kelly Pash collected two victories and diving swept the 3-meter on day one of the two-day double dual-meet.
TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – No. 2 Texas Women's Swimming and Diving won five events on day one of a two-day double dual-meet against No. 5 Ohio State and No. 6 Alabama on Friday at the Alabama Aquatic Center.
Bridget O'Neil kicked things off for Texas with a victory on the 3-meter, as the junior scored 366.60 points to pace a Longhorn contingent that notched the top-five spots in the event. Sophomore Hailey Hernandez finished as the runner-up with 327.05 points and senior Janie Boyle placed third with 320.80 points.
Kelly Pash earned a pair of victories, winning the 100 IM in 54.28, three-quarters of a second ahead of the runner-up, then touching the wall first in the 200 free with a time of 1:46.45.
Lydia Jacoby won the 100 breast in 59.21 and Olivia Bray added a victory in the 100 back, cruising to a win in 53.50.
The Texas flyers put on another show, with Dakota Luther (1:56.05) and Emma Sticklen (1:56.31) finishing 1-2 in the 200 fly.
Erica Sullivan posted a second-place result in the 1000 free (9:47.89), while Kyla Leibel took third in the 200 fee (1:48.60).
In the relays, Texas added a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay, as Bray, Jacoby, Sticklen and Bridget Semenuk combined to clock 1:38.06.
The Horns closed out the night with a runner-up result in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:16.37 from Pash, Bray, Semenuk and Leibel.
The Longhorns wrap up competition in Alabama on Saturday. Diving will get underway at 9 a.m. CT and swimming will start at 10:30 a.m. CT.
