• HORNS ON D: Last season the Longhorns were 22-0 when they held an opponent to 59 points or less. In the 2023-24 season Texas ranks No. 12 in the country in turnovers forced per game and No. 5 in the country in turnover margin. Texas has forced 78 turnovers through three games this season, including forcing 35 against Liberty. The Longhorns have only committed 32 turnovers themselves.
• ON THE BOARDS: The Longhorns are +16.7 in rebounding margin this season and have a 68-20 advantage in second chance points.
• POUNDING THE PAINT: The Longhorns have had a significant post presence this season as they lead opponents 158-72 in paint points, including an 80-36 edge over UT Arlington last time out.
• RORI BEING RORI: Texas All-American point guard Rori Harmon put up 20 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals against UT Arlington, to become the first player in DI women's basketball this season to achieve those numbers.
• PUTTING UP POINTS: The Longhorns put up 61 first half points and 110 for the game against UT Arlington. Texas shot 55.6 percent for the game and assisted on 30 of their 50 made field goals.
• NO. 1 RECRUITING CLASS: On Wednesday the Longhorns signed what ESPN.Com has ranked as the No. 1 recruiting class in the country. The Horns are the only school in the country with two top-10 signees.
• IN THE MOOD: The Longhorns begin season two in the Moody Center. Texas posted a 15-3 mark in the first season of Moody Center. The Longhorns ranked 12th in the NCAA in average attendance per home game in the 2022-23 season.
• 2023 BIG 12 CHAMPIONS: The Longhorns finished the 2022-23 season with a 26-10 overall record and 14-4 mark in conference play as they claimed the Big 12 regular season championship, their first since 2004. Head Coach Vic Schaefer was named Big 12 Coach of the Year.
• PRESEASON HONORS: Texas point guard Rori Harmon was picked by the conference coaches as the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year and Madison Booker was selected as the Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year. Harmon and DeYona Gaston earned spots on the Preseason All-Big 12 Team and Shaylee Gonzales and Aaliyah Moore earned preseason honorable mention All-Big 12 selections.
• GONZALES CAREER SCORING: Shaylee Gonzales knows how to put the ball in the basket. Gonzales has scored 2,035 career points, which ranks fifth among all active women's DI college basketball players.
